In recent news, there was a man (by name Rambhakt Gopal, according to the reports) who opened fire at the protesters in Shaheen bagh. Such a shameful incident it was for our democratic country and even more so as the police was standing behind doing nothing when this happened. The police even refused to remove the barricades to let the injured people go. To what extent will this agenda of Hindu Rashtra/ Modi Bhakti go?
We were given brains to use them not to get manipulated by people like this. .
The question is not about supporting or protesting CAA here. The question is what all is happening in the name of this law, which I believe is discriminatory. But I am not writing this post on the basis of any type of bias. This is solely my anger on the recent incident of firing wherein no action was taken by the authorities.
Is this not the result of all the hate speeches given around by all sorts of people?
The people in power have threatened the minorities multiple times, proclaimed them as anti-nationals, even asked people to kill them !
They have said things like 'Desh ke gaddaro ko' to which the public replied 'goli maaron salo ko'. This is just one of the examples of their hate speeches. I would have to write a whole different post alluding to the kind of words these ministers have used in order to spread hatred.
How can we let them use us common people like this? They are clearly pitting us against each other, using the divide and rule policy. Are we this blind as to not see their clear agendas? They have openly expressed their desire of a Hindu rashtra. Is that what we want for our nation? Is our nation only for Hindus? Do we not take pride in it being a secular country where all religions are revered equally? Have we forgotten the idea of 'Unity in diversity' and giving way to people who are trying to divide us?
I am scared. I really am. I do not know how the future of the country will take shape with the present government in power for the next four more years. What I do know is that we, the people of India, should not let these cowards to damage the integrity of our nation any further!
